The Department of Computer Applications started in the year 2010 with an undergraduate programme in Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) with only one section and two faculty members. Today, the department has 2 sections since 2013, with a sanctioned strength of 50 for each section. The student strength of the department has increased to 264 with six faculty members. The objective of the department is to promote the holistic development and social responsibility of the students and to attract young minds to the potentially rich and employable field of Computer Science and Applications.
